The land
Somalia’s arid mountains and coastal winds, the climate that gives Boswellia and Commiphora their character.
Essential oils and raw resins, harvested in Somalia and prepared for wholesale buyers, distributors, and brands who need species-true Somali quality.
Dalmaydi is a Somali producer and supplier of frankincense and myrrh: steam-distilled essential oils and carefully graded raw resins. We work from harvest in Somalia through to export, serving partners who require consistent quality, clear documentation, and reliable wholesale supply.
Not a retail brand. A sourcing house built for formulators, distillers, distributors, and importers who specify botanicals by species, not by trend.

In the highlands above the Gulf of Aden, Somali frankincense begins as living resin tapped by hand, left to harden into tears, and gathered with patience. This is the landscape that shapes every oil and resin we supply.
Somalia’s arid mountains and coastal winds, the climate that gives Boswellia and Commiphora their character.
Seasonal tapping, careful collection, and sorting that respects the tree and the grade.
From Somali harvest to export, oils and resins prepared for wholesale partners worldwide.
Our grandfather was a collector in the Ufeyn highlands. He tapped the trees, sorted the resin by hand, and sold it at market — and never learned where it went after that.
We still work the same trees, with the same families. The difference is that the resin no longer leaves Somalia raw. We distil it ourselves, 135 kilometres from where it is harvested.
Somali frankincense is not one material. It is species, grade, and form. Explore how Dalmaydi presents Carterii, Frereana (Maydi), and Myrrh harvested in Somalia.

Our frankincense and myrrh begin at the source—carefully harvested from native trees across Somalia using traditional methods refined over generations. Each botanical is available in multiple formats to support different applications and distribution needs. Raw resin is hand-collected, cleaned, and graded for incense houses, distillers, wholesalers, and ingredient buyers, while selected material is steam-distilled into concentrated essential oils for fragrance, cosmetic, wellness, and formulation applications. By working close to the harvest, we maintain greater visibility over origin, handling, and material quality from tree to finished product. This allows us to offer consistent botanical materials while preserving the natural character and distinctive aromatic profile of each species. Whether you require essential oil, whole resin, graded tears, or bulk material for further processing, our supply is structured to support both specialty buyers and larger-scale distribution programs. One origin. Multiple formats. Built for professional supply.
